Bees in San Clemente chimney wall void.

It is very common to have a problem with bees in San Clementes Chimney. Honeybees like to inhabit the space between chimneys and the interior drywall. As is the case in the image below. Many times people will see bees going in between the chimney and the wall, up near the eave. It is often thought that the bees are in the chimney, but this is far from the truth. The bees usually find the cavity between the brick and drywall above the fire place. So we have to come in and cut open the drywall near the ceiling to access the bees in San Clemente chimney. Many customers ask if we can remove the bees from the outside because they don’t want bees getting into their house. This is usually not possible since the bees are behind the brick. You would have to do major construction to remove the bees from the exterior.

It started with just a few bees near my shed. Apparently they liked what they saw and told all their “bee friends.” Soon there were dozens and as I waited for them to leave there were more.
